Kernow Petanque AGM

Three new officers were elected at Kernow Petanque's 2011 Annual General Meeting, held at the Star Inn, Vogue, on Sunday 12 February.

Robert Herrick, formerly Playing Officer, was voted in to a new post, Vice President - Development. This role will have a broad remit, working to increase interest and participation in petanque in Cornwall. Getting the post off to a flying start, Robert announced a major petanque event now in the planning stages to be held in south-east Cornwall on France's Bastille Day, 14 July.

Elected as the new playing Officer was Andrew Jarvis, who has just re-launched the petanque club at the Treleigh Arms, Redruth.

Another new role voted in at the AGM was Youth Development Officer, aimed at increasing young people's participation in petanque in Cornwall. This was taken on by Sarah Jarvis, also a member of the revived Treleigh Arms Petanque Society (TAPS).
