And what did Santa bring?

Fifteen hardy souls braved rain and high winds at the inaugural Kernow Petanque Santa Shoot, held at the Star Inn, St Day, on Sunday 15 December.

Fortified by soup, mince pies and the Star Inn's best turkey rolls, they managed four rounds of timed games before deciding that home by the fire made a lot more sense than paddling about on a flooded terrain . . .

In fourth and third places with three wins were Peter Lynas from Constantine and Gordon Couch of Gorran Haven. In second place, with four wins, was Graeme Kirkham, from Tregony PC, but ahead on points and taking first place was another Tregony player, Susan Williamson.

A Happy Christmas and a peaceful, successful 2014 to all members of Kernow Petanque and to boules players everywhere.
