The only downside was the fall-off in interest around 3pm when the England-Germany World Cup game started, although afterwards there were a lot of people who wished they'd carried on playing boules rather than watching the match!
The turnout was one of the best ever, including enough local interest to make more regular pétanque sessions in Penzance though the summer a good possibility. If you are interested, please get in touch through the website.
